The Sources page is a transparent index of every external dataset, research partner and third-party study referenced across RevXForge’s benchmarks, research and reports — a discovery layer that complements, but doesn’t replace, the inline citation given at the exact point each source is used.
Why a Standalone Sources Page, in Addition to Inline Citations
Every individual figure on RevXForge already cites its source at the point of use — that’s covered under Editorial Standards and Methodology. This page exists for a different purpose: letting a reader see, in one place, the full range of external sources the site draws on, without having to visit every individual page. It’s useful for anyone evaluating RevXForge’s overall credibility before relying on it heavily, or for a researcher trying to identify whether a specific dataset is used anywhere on the site.
What Each Source Record Includes
Every entry in this index captures the source name and a direct link to it, the publication or data collection date, the specific metric or metrics drawn from it, the population or sample it covers, any relevant segmentation available within it, and a short note on how RevXForge actually uses that source — whether as a primary input to a benchmark, a comparison point, or supporting context for a research finding.

How Sources Are Vetted for Inclusion
Not every available dataset or report makes it into RevXForge’s sourcing. Before a source is used, it’s checked against a few baseline criteria: is the collection methodology documented and accessible, is the population and sample size disclosed by the source itself, is the source reasonably current for the claim it’s supporting, and is there a way to link directly to the original rather than to a secondary summary of it. A source that fails these checks may still be mentioned for context, but it won’t be used to support a specific published figure.
Updates to This Index
As new research is published or new sources are incorporated, this index is updated to reflect them. Where a source is retired — for instance, a dataset that’s no longer maintained or a report series that’s been discontinued — it remains listed with a note indicating it’s no longer an active source, so historical citations referencing it remain traceable rather than becoming dead links.
How to Use This Page Responsibly
This index tells you what RevXForge draws on — it is not itself a substitute for reading the original source if you plan to cite a figure independently in your own work. Before citing any RevXForge figure externally, check the specific research or benchmark page where that figure is used for the full context: the exact metric definition, the segment it applies to, the time period and any stated limitations.
